So much for the rule of law in Stephen Harper's Canada.
UPDATE: Préfontaine has trouble keeping his story straight--or doesn't care:
Prefontaine first said the government might withhold the eight documents on the grounds that they are irrelevant, then said some of the eight cases fall outside the May 2007-June 2008 period of the complaint the commission is examining. He later said the commission already had the eight reports from a court case - not true, according to [Military Police Complaints Commission counsel] Lunau.
Either way, pretty sloppy work.
