The not-so-hidden agenda of the anthemites

Never mind dissing Jehovah's Witnesses, peaceful and law-abiding citizens of our country, in the crudest possible manner--let's make our national anthem compulsory.

Now, that's political correctness. But supporters call it "patriotism," or use some other mass-friendly label to disguise the frankly totalitarian objectives of the professional flag-wavers and anthem-singers. Let's just force people to see things our way, and do as we do.

And the Speech Warriors™, who were up in arms about a school principal who saw things differently, have vacated the field. What a surprise.

Some brave Japanese teachers resisted this kind of thing not too long ago. Will Canadian teachers and principals have the courage to do the same? And will they be alone?
