Obama is the loyal son of a left-wing anthropologist mother who sought to expiate her white guilt by going to bed with Muslim Third World men. He is a Third World anthropologist studying us, learning our culture and our customs the better to neutralize what he considers to be a malignant American influence in world affairs.
That would be David P. Goldman, former member of the Lyndon LaRouche crowd, and current darling of the far Right.
John Podhoretz, editor of Commentary, veteran neo-con, a person with whom I might have imagined I had nothing in common, draws a line in the sand: "This is, not to put too fine a point on it, disgusting."
But here in Canada, the nutcases slobber and yowl.
Has the Overton Window been yanked so far towards frankly racist conspiracy-mongering that we must now accept David Frum as a comrade?
