Readers are aware that I have little patience with blasé dismissals of the "MSM" by certain members of the blogosphere--the commercial media are, after all, our life's blood. But that fact alone hardly exempts them from criticism. Indeed we spend a good deal of our time mocking the obvious political biases and factual inaccuracies to be found all too frequently in their reportage.
But there is also a question of style and formula to which we should pay more attention. If we were to do so, however, we would have some difficulty topping this:
